Return to Curling!
We plan to open and curl this winter! Registration forms are available, and we are getting closer to being on the ice! Some may be asking what our return to play rules will look like when we start. As per provincial mandate, we will be required to verify that all people entering our club are double- vaccinated. That means we will be asking you to show the vaccine certificate as proof of double vaccination. This can be done on the provincial website starting September 22. We should be receiving a QR reader from Curling Canada, to be located at the front doors. This tool will help us with contact tracing, and with vaccine certificate verification. Once inside, all members and visitors will be required to wear a mask when walking around the club, and respect social distancing protocols. Masks will not be required once sitting at a table, or when playing on the ice surface. Our re-opening committee will pass on more details of the particular return to play rules once they are finalized, with review of the legislation and guidance from Curling Canada. We are all excited to be getting back to the sport we love in a safe way.
Norwich District Curling Club would like to sincerely thank our major sponsors who have generously donated over the years, but this year in particular. With the continued support from these businesses we are able to look into 2021 with hope of a great curling season! Thank you to all these wonderful businesses and please support them when you can as they have supported us!
